Jollof Rice is a common dish that is prepared in the African community. The origin of the rice is the subject of great debate. It is said to have originated from the Wolof tribe in Senegal, which was once a great empire stretching into parts of the Gambia. In some places it is known as “Benachin”, which means “one pot”.
